Similar problem: I can see all the folders in my imap server except for INBOX.
It was working properly with hoary before upgrading to breezy.
Some info:
- I use imap (not imap4rev1, this does not work either, even for regular folders).
- I use SSL with a uw-imap server running Debian sarge (uw-imapd, 2002edebian1-1).
- Re-subscribing does not work. inbox does not appear in the list of folder
available to subcribe.
- I use the "show all folders" option withing mail/ directory, but "show only
subscribed folders" does not work either.
- Seems similar to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313318 but
recomendation there does not work.
- I checked there are no folder named Inbox, inbox or INBOX in the server that
my collide with the server namespace.
As a work-around, I have created a symlink to my inbox folder in the server, so
I access as to a regular folder:
$ ln -s /var/mail/username $HOME/mail/00Inbox
