[Bug 16988] custom icons in desktop aren't used anywhere else

I'm using a custom icon theme. it's this one:
This icon theme brings as the default desktop pc icon a TFT, but
in the Xtras folder it brings another icon which represents a laptop.
The icon I changes was the pc icon from the TFT one to the laptop one.
It really doesn't matter which icon you are using, since to check this I changed
my home folder icon in the desktop from the one this icon theme brings to another
gnome brings to represent bluetooh (the icons is the "B" logo) and this still
happened.

I've tried this with gnome's default icon theme & it happens, so that's
not the problem. I'll post a screenshot to clarify
