Situation with 2.12 (as of Breezy 8th October, 2005):

launching gnome-screenshot either from keyboard shortcut or command line takes
about two minutes.
The dialgoue then displays eventually, but is unresponsive and doesn't redraw
immediately. After another long delay, I could write in a filename and save
correctly.

jack at annecy:~$ gnome-screenshot
resutlt: 1

.... THEN LONG DELAY

(gnome-screenshot:8949): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_get_volume_for_path:
assertion `path != NULL' failed

(gnome-screenshot:8949): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_render_icon: assertion
`path != NULL' failed

(gnome-screenshot:8949): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_get_parent: assertion
`path != NULL' failed

(gnome-screenshot:8949): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_file_system_get_folder: assertion
`path != NULL' failed

.... THEN THE DIALOGUE HANGS, AND DOESN'T REDRAW

There is no further dialogue before the app exits with success.
