If "I want a new screen; don't ask!" means putting the -s option in
app-defaults/XScreensaver, then that is exactly what I was asking for. Any
little change that causes non-malicious users on new a install not to have their
data lost by the next user needing to do C-M-<backspace> to be able to use the
computer. It would be nice for the configurator to always set that option to the
systemwide default in the user's .xscreensaver too, but if that is too big a
change, then so be it.
