no it has this issue, this is my configuration.
But I didn't explain it very well.

Your case is not the same as you create the dir2 symlink from ~/dir1 and not
from ~/Desktop/dir1.

My case is:
- I have a directory under my home folder, dir1, which has a subdirectory, for
me dir2
- I middle click Documents and create a symlink on my desktop so: ~/Desktop/dir1
-> ~/dir1
- I go in the Documents folder from my Desktop,
- then I middle click on INRA and create a symlink on my Desktop, so
~/Desktop/dir2 -> ~/Desktop/dir1/dir2 (and not ~/Desktop/dir2 -> ~/dir1/dir2)

You have the 2 symlinks case, the ~/Desktop/dir2 symlink is first resolved to
~/Desktop/dir1/dir2 then resolved to ~/dir1/dir2

It's not sure you will trigger the bug with this setup, it only happens when a
new variable use the memory area of the variable incorrectly unreferenced.
Sometimes just using a longer name instead for dir2 stops the crash from happening.
