What to do to reproduce the problems:
  Open gedit on workspace-A.
  Open gedit on workspace-B.

Problem 1: Ctrl-F (Find) on workspace-A will open
  the Find dialog on workspace-B.

Problem 2:
  Cut/Copy/Paste on workspace-A will change workspace-B.
