when selecting 'file management' from the system/preferences from the gnome
menu, the following error appears:
the application "nautilus-file-management-properties" has quit unexpectedly.

restarting doesn't help, and when you run it from gnome-terminal you get the
following error:
Fatal Python error: This module can only be used from nautilus
