Yep, your devices have the wrong permissions. If you are on Breezy, this look
suspiciously like #14226. Can you please upgrade to the latest udev and try again?

If that doesn't help, or you are on Hoary, please copy the output of

  sh -x /etc/udev/scripts/removable.sh sda
