Summary: gdm: authentication stalls when trying to login with
ldap-users
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gdm
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: am285 at gmx.net
QAContact: desktop-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
after upgrading from hoary to breezy gdm hangs after entering username and password when trying to authenticate
users via ldap (i am using libnss-ldap and libpam-ldap).
still, ldap-users can login without any problems on the login-prompts and `getent passwd' returns the correct
information from the ldap-server.
when ldap is disabled in /etc/nsswitch.conf, gdm-logins of local users work just fine.
