Hello,
I have seen some bug reports about not correctly mounted USB hard discs. But
none of them had the same problem so I open a new bug report.
I have an external Trekstore USB 2 hard disc with 120 Gig. With 3 partitions on it.
With Hoary everything was recognized perfectly! It created
/media/usbdisk
/media/usbdisk-1
/media/usbdisk-2
With Breezy RC1 with updates till 2005-09-15 - a clean install - it is not
mounted correctly any more!!!
Now I get the following 3 partitions on it (part of fstab):
/dev/sda1 on /media/usbdisk-1 type vfat
(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,quiet,shortname=winnt,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=077,iocharset=utf8)
/dev/sda3 on /media/usbdisk type ext2 (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
/dev/sda2 on /media/sda2 type ext3 (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
See, one partition is not automounted correctly. I have to click on it in
Nautilus so that it gets mounted to /media/sda2 which is not really correct -
have a look at the Hoary mounts upper.
Sidenote: On another installation I updated Debian Sarge to Breezy RC1 with
updates 2005-09-15. There it mounts 2 partitions of my USB disc to the same
directory.
I attach all important logs etc.
