This is neither a g-v-m bug nor a pmount one, since CD-ROMs are usually covered
by /etc/fstab, so the normal mount command is used. If the CD permissions are
that stupid, there is not much that can be done about it automatically.
You can try to entirely remove the entry from your fstab (then pmount will mount
it, which uses "uid="), or you supply a better umask (000) to the options in
/etc/fstab.
