Public bug reported:
Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Severity: Wishlist
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
Use case:
- go http://www.lugradio.org/
- click on Ogg Podcast.
- save on Desktop
- right clicked the file / open with another application
- choose Rhythmbox (Rhythmbox open, download and play the audio files)
- close Rhythmbox
- right clicked on the file to make sure that it would be opened by Rhythmbox by default.
- Double-click on the saved XML file.
-> Error "The filename "episodes.ogg.rss" indicates that this file is of
type "RSS summary". The contents of the file indicate that the file is
of type "XML document". If you open this file, the file might present a
security risk to your system..."
I think that Nautilus should be able to handle XML files (it is more and
more used)
How? I don't know.
Some XML files have a DTD attribute that can be used.
This particular XML file doesnt have any, but contains a <rss> node.
** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal => Wishlist
