It does, if you look at the output of gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose you''ll see a big fat warning. The reason you don't get a user clickable warning is that some distros start g-p-m then g-s, and so we would warn when there is not problem. Can you attach the output of gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose please, thanks.
