Hello, 
Have you tried the steps mentioned by other developers here. Does the font problem still occur in Ubuntu 5.04 or 5.10 or Dapper? I dont read the script and this information is required to better support Arabic in Ubuntu. Also, please note that Ubuntu 4.10 will not be supported after April 2006. Please upgrade if you have not done so already. Thanks !
