It's true it's a problem with gnome-screensaver alone, and not the gl/mesa subsystem, as I tested against xscreensaver and it renders fine.

Nevertheless, It doesn't seem to be the same "flickering" issue that was described and *fixed* in 22045. I've read your comment with doublebuffering and depthbuffering in that bug and I must say you know this much better than me, but it seems to me even if in an abstract sense the problem is the same, yet more code needs to be added in order to be fixed, so it's a different issue.
