I did check to see what synaptic looked like and concluded I wasn't using Synaptic.  I had to ask on IRC where was the right place to file the report the issue and was told it was gnome-app-install  :P

Be kind to the translators.  
Unless you have an existing string elsewhere you can reuse (Advanced/More/Details/etc) and avoid creating work for translators it is probably best to leave this until after the release.  (Or follow whatever policy Ubuntu has for this kind of thing.)


If you want more feedback on synaptic I'm faily sure I could find a few thing (do tell me where is the best place to file if you are interested).
