Public bug reported:
Affects: gnopernicus libbrlapi1 (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Confirmed
Description:
Looks like packages libbrlapi1 and libbrlapi are both trying to own the
file: /lib/libbrlapi.so.0.4
Synaptic won't let me remove "libbrlapi" to try to fix the dependency
problem. The update manager recommends using "-f install" to repair the
index, but this fails:
ll at lambros-home:~$ sudo apt-get -f install

The following extra packages will be installed:
libbrlapi1
The following NEW packages will be installed
libbrlapi1
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
2 not fully installed or removed.

You might want to run ‘apt-get -f install’ to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
brltty: Depends: libbrlapi1 but it is not going to be installed
gnopernicus: Depends: libbrlapi1 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try ‘apt-get -f install’ with no packages (or specify a solution).
