[Bug 37814] Re: Menu entries in korean do not show in euc-kr encoding

I hope someone will explain (or fix) how desktop files re-generated with
proper Encoding entry and contents when user switches one encoding
(UTF-8) to another (not UTF-8). To me, this problem came about reporter
switched system encoding from ko_KR.UTF-8 to ko_KR.EUC-KR, but desktop
files for the menu were not converted for latter encoding. Within
Dapper, is it (auto conversion of desktop files according to LANGUAGE
env or somehow with intltool) feasible?
