[Bug 28548] Re: keyboard layout options - menu items disappearing

I can reproduce this bug as follows on the Ubuntu Dapper Beta Desktop CD:

1. After booting, open the keyboard preferences menu (System > Preferences > Keyboard).
2. Click the Layouts tab.
3. Click Add.
6. Select Albania (or any layout actually)
7. Click OK.
8. Click the Layout Options tab.

I can also reproduce this by deleting the ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome directory, logging out and back in, and then repeating the above steps (except for booting, of course).

I cannot seem to reproduce it without logging out.  (I presume it has something to do with the gconf daemon still running or something.)
