Sorry, I spoke too soon about the margin.

Even with both interfaces reporting the same settings, glabels printing, and gedit printing, and probably any gxxx printing has too large a top margin.  This testing was done using a Samsung ML-1750 laser printer set for US Letter and 1200x600dpi printing.
