[Bug 42262] User switching asks name twice

Description:
( Disclaimer: this is more a design flaw than a bug )

Dapper, Gnome.

Click System ► lock screen. Click "switch user". A list asks you for the
user to switch to. Click a user who is not logged in. A new gdm appears,
which asks you for the username again.

I noticed this makes a very bad impression on newbies, probably because
from a user's standpoint it makes no sense.
