Well actually I mean the splash screen.
And I get the black screen before logging.
Actually I can't even log in. The login screen doesn't appear at all...

(When that's happen does pressing ctrl-alt-f1 and then ctrl-alt-f7 fixes the issue?)
I'll try this and I'll tell you....
