[Bug 56185] Unable to view or import from Canon EOS Digital Rebel

When using the same USB connection -  I get the automatic popup and I am able to view the photos and copy them from a Sony Camcorder (still photos) - However the automatic popup does not work with the Canon and I get this error message when trying to import  or view photos via gthumb.
"an error occured in the io- library (Bad Parameters) Could not find USB device (vendor 0x4a9, product 0x3084). Make sure the device is connection to the computer.  I have a USB hub and am using the same connector in the same slot for both cameras.(not at the same time obviously)
