** Summary changed:

- Nasty error from Help when gnumeric-doc isn't installed
+ "Help" > "Contents" gives nasty error and no help

** Description changed:

  Ubuntu 6.10

- 1. Install "gnumeric" but not "gnumeric-doc".
- 2. Open Gnumeric, and choose "Help" -> "Contents".
+ 1. Open Gnumeric, and choose "Help" -> "Contents".

  What happens:
  * "An unknown error occured"
  * "The default action does not support this protocol."

  What's wrong with this:
+ * The help doesn't open.
  * The error is unknown.
  * That's an incorrect spelling of "occurred".
- * What default action?
- * What protocol?
+ * What's this "default action" and "protocol" it's wittering on about?

- What should happen:
- * Ideally: "Gnumeric Help is not available, because it is not installed. Would you like to install it now? ( Cancel ) ( Install... )"
- * Minimally: "Gnumeric Help is not available, because the package “gnumeric-doc” is not installed."
+ The same error occurs whether or not the gnumeric-doc package is
+ installed.
