In Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy I did an apt-get remove xchat-gnome
This error message appears when clicking the xchat-gnome menu entry afterwards.
So this bug is not gnome-app-install specific, adding apt task.
The long term solution would be to fix apt-get and gnome-app-install to
remove unnecessary automatically installed dependencies automatically.
I think the best short term solution is to include the desktop file in
xchat-gnome and not in xchat-gnome-common, adding xchat-gnome task.
