[Bug 30313] Gnome-search-tool regularly freezes

Description:
The gnome-search-tool is completely unusable. The UI freezes as soon as
I click the search button.

additional info: Ubuntu dapper, gnome-utils version 2.13.90. (But this
has been happening for a while, at least since the previous version of
dapper.)
