my apologies, I considered them both faults with "keyboard shortcuts" I
guess.  Anyhow, this doesnt seem to be a bug at all I suppose.  For some
reason it was because I was using compiz.  All others work, though, but
with compiz the terminal simply won't run.  Not your guys fault, please
erase bug :).
