Sorry, but it is not a bug. If you access the ALSA soundcard directly, then by
default, DMIX is not being used. Sorry, but it is the way ALSA works.

In order to use DMIX, you need to define a new soundcard, setup for DMIX and
define it in the preferences.

All what Ekiga is doing is using the default list of soundcards sent back by
libasound. This includes : direct access to the soundcard(s), no DMIX usable
there. And the DEFAULT soundcard, DMIX access possible there.

I do not see how it could be done in another way, except by patching libasound
and ALSA.
