Compared "viewing" between XP (codec 6.1.1 from DIVX Inc) and Dapper (
Gstreamer 0.10, Totem 1.3.91).

The lag exists. 
Tried a another movie from 
http://home.comcast.net/~tom.paquette/media/muppetshow-manahmanah.wmv 

The lag is even worse. 
muppetshow-manahmanah.wmv used to work fine on Ubuntu 5.10 and gstreamer 0.8
