I use the breezy badger release.
It should be a philips (as stated with most programs, not sure about that...
It's a laptop system)

Output of "dmesg | grep hdc":
[4294668.843000]     ide1: BM-DMA at 0xbfa8-0xbfaf, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:pio
[4294670.392000] hdc: PHILIPS DVD+RW SDVD6004, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
[4294674.850000] hdc: ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 8192kB Cache

So i guess it is found by the kernel...

It is listed in hal-device-manager, do you need some more info on this?

Will read up, and try rebuilding nautilus-cd-burner...
