Summary: Gedit crashes.
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: gedit
AssignedTo: seb128 at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: hernia06 at gmail.com

This isn't going to be pretty, but here we go.
Gedit crashes. It crashes on exit. It crashes when I hit cut. It crashed just
now when I hit 'select all' so that I could copy seventy or so lines of
irreplaceable text into Lyx. This is consistent behavior (in other words, every
time I perform these functions).
This shouldn't happen. I don't know why, but it's been happening ever since
Breezy. All I know is that a text editor should be stable. It shouldn't go
down in a fucking ball of flames when I try to perform basic functions. I want
software that works, and this isn't working. This is shit. It's 2006, and I
can't get a text editor to work properly.
A text editor.
Please, don't make me use pico for everything. I'm sorry I can't make this more
polite, but people need software they can rely on and I can't rely on gedit, one
of the most basic programs in an OS's software suite. I'm not running anything
bleeding-edge or compiled custom. Everything should be all right.
And yet, it isn't.
Hopefully you guys can fix it.
