"The KDE bug has neither the nautilus-cd-burner message nor the lshal log for it..."

Did you try to reproduce the problem? I dont have time to provide you with more
info.
Also I am not a linux developer. So I dont know what lshal log you are talking of.

I am a plain ubuntulinux end user. So I will not even remember this bug till the
time I again need to use the rewritable cd. Also due to this bug I use win98 +
nero to burn cds. So I always subconsciously boot 98 for burning purpose.
I wont even remember to use ubuntu for cd burning so that ubuntu devs can fix
the issue.

As for the kde bug, I have given maximun info that I can on their site.
Also as per their comment no 6 "------- Additional Comment #6 From Matt Rogers
2005-11-24 06:46 -------", k3b failure is due to ubuntu's way of packing.

So at least work on that k3b thing 1st.

Also, I have given you the steps. You can check them for yourself for the errors
and logs/any other informatio and fix the problem.
