In addition:

Ubuntu 5.10, gedit 2.12.1, i686-smp kernel, version 2.6.12-10.  All of this is
direct from the Ubuntu repositories.
The only thing I'm running that might create difficulties is an unofficial
version of Clearlooks, 2.7.1 with Cairo enabled.
That's all there is.
