[Bug 28621] cannot associate file type with open command

Description:
On Breezy, AMD64, when I try to add an open command by right click on
icon, then properties, then Open with, I can select the application - in
this cas lyx-qt, but after clicking "Add" the association doesn't
appear.

Is it possible that I must be logged in as Root to do this?

By the way, since the move from bugzilla, I've lost track of my open
bugs? formly registered as jachete at cs.com.

In any case, I continue to strongly support Ubuntu - It's made my world a better place in which to live!
