Mattius and tenshu,
I am using gnome 2.10 as kept up to date by ubuntu. If I left click 'Places > 4.9 GB Volume' (the USB volume in question) it opens in nautilus. If I do the same but right click - again it opens in nautilus. What I am asking for is what I expect to see, namely, that a right click on 'Places > someorotherremovablemedia' gives me an unmount/remove option.
Basically I guess I want the functionality of the Disk Mounter applet. I
am now aware of how I could/ should have been doing this, by going into
'Places > Computer'. But when I used nautilus to navigate to /media and
tried everything I could think of, unmounting was not an option that
turned up anywhere. It never occured to me that 'Places > Computer'
would give any different functionality.
What I'm now looking for is whether it could behave the way I expected
it too, that is if my expectation is reasonable and founded on
reasonable assumptions about where to find this option.
So, what'dya think - can it be done? Is it a good idea?
Duncan
