It absolutely does.

also with 'rsync' and 'route' and various others found in the
/etc/bash_completion script.

pressing 'ctrl-c' while it is 'hung' will break it out of the
bash_completion script that is broken.

The same behaviour is in xterm.

This should probably be a bash bug.
