[Bug 52508] The whole system freeze if I scroll up/down using the bar

I used ubuntu dapper 6.06 when it started to happen. Later on I switched
to Xubuntu, but the problem remained...

steps to failure:
I opened a Doc file, tried scrolling using the mouse scroll - went ok. I tried scrolling the document down using the bar, and the whole system freezes. aMule also made the whole system freeze in ubuntu, but after the switch to Xubuntu it stopped doing that...

for my bad part i can say i experimented with air-core but removed all
refernces i made to air-core after i found out that things dont work
right.

i am currently running a xorg.conf file that originaly created by
dexconf (so i dont think it's related to x).
