[Bug 52692] xchat-gnome crashes on 'save transcript' on blank screen

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. load xchat-gnome
2. type ctrl-s OR discussion->save transcript

Expected result:
A save dialog, or maybe that the option is disabled until there's some text in the buffer.

Actual result:
Segfaults every time.
