[Bug 52908] spell check doenn't replace with picked correcton

Public bug reported:

b3 on linux - spell check works (it underlines misspelled words) but
when I right click and pick a word from "Spelling suggestions" it
doesn't replace 'most' of the time.

and 'most' seems to be less and less frequent.  (which seems loopy.)  I
thought it was something like I had to first put the curson on the word,
or the end of the word, before Right-Click, but now I can't figure out
how to make it work, but about 1:10 times it does.
