Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When a user with sudo privileges double-clicks a system file, she is
unable to save it, and if it's read-only for root, then she is told
she's "unable to open" said file.

Rather than being denied access, a user with sudo rights should have a
dialogue that allows her to grant herself administrative privileges
(should she wish to) to view or modify the file.

This dialogue would be similar to gDebi's dialogue allowing one to
install .deb files with a double-click.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
