Surely menu-xdg shouldn't be shipping a broken symlink in the first place. This wouldn't happen if menu-xdg depended on menu, rather than only recommending it. Does anyone know why it is that way? -- gnome-panel eats 50% cpu for half an hour and flickers https://launchpad.net/bugs/52405
