I´m running the latest Dapper version with an ATI Mobility 7500. I had problem 1 and 2. Xorg driver is radeon and setting RenderAccel to 'off' fixed the problem. -- Cairo and ATI RENDER extension cause scrambled buttons in UbuntuLooks https://launchpad.net/bugs/34435
