[Bug 49213] buttons incorrectly rendered when using default theme

Public bug reported:

buttons in ubuntu dapper drake are incorrectly rendered when using the
default theme.

buttons begin to look ok once you hover the mouse pointer over them.

ATI Radeon 9200 mac mini G4.

originally, ubuntu couldnt start X, so i done sudo dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xorg and accepted most of the defaults.

i only seem to get this problem when i use the human icon theme. if i
use a different theme, buttons are rendered correctly.
