Sorry. The report was a bit misleading because IMAP option works fine.
The bug is in IMAP4rev1. The configuration is:

Server Type: IMAP4rev1
Use Secure Connection: TLS encryption
Authentication Type: Password

The response is:

   Error while Scanning folders in "IMAP Server
   nova.ehas.org".
   IMAP4 Server nova.ehas.org unexpected disconnection:
   Connection reset by peer.

The same parameters with POP and IMAP work fine.
