Just to confirm, this is still present in 6.06 LTS (Gnome 2.14.2). I have added a comment to the upstream bug report. Maybe someone from the Ubuntu team feels like patching with code from the GIMP? ;-) -- gnome-screenshot fails to work with multiple monitors https://launchpad.net/bugs/16894
