Description:
I can't open Xchat to fully duplicate the problem.

I was in edit/preferences and changing background/foreground colours and
when I added a .jpeg as background image, Xchat closed without warning.

Trying to re-start Xchat and all that happens is a quick screen blink
and nothing further.
