Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34276

Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
There is currently no way to configure the GLSlideshow screensaver to
display ~any~ pictures with gnome-screensaver. I'm not a fan of the
"anything that requires configuration is inherently broken" mantra. But
if you can't manually move/link your pictures to a directory GLSlideshow
will recognize, then isn't it broken, too?

It took me half an hour to realize that we have to use the "Pictures
gallery" screensaver instead of GLSlideshow to get any image to display
in a screensaver.
