[Bug 34541] trash reports No Items even when '.../.Trash-$user' is full

Description:
The Nautilus delete/move to wastebasket function now moves items to:

  $mountpoint/.Trash-$user

such as:

  /media/PDC 2350/.Trash-paul

however, the wastebasket does not find or report the contents of this
directory and doesn't delete the contents on 'Empty Wastebasket':
