Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34594

Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I'm running Ubuntu Dapper testing (Flight 5 + updates).

When viewing an SMB share via the Network window in Nautilus, some of
the shared files do not open with the correct programs when they are
double clicked. Instead, an error message is displayed. If I copy a file
that causes the bug from the SMB network share to a local partition then
the file opens correctly when double-clicked. This bug only seems to
occur with certain file types. My guess is that Nautilus is not checking
the same list of file associations for files on the network as it does
for local files.

I did this test on a WMA audio file as well as a Windows desktop.ini
file but perhaps other file types are affected as well.
