[Bug 34855] trash applet reports wrong item count in tooltip

Description:
Starting with an empty trash, if I drag a single file to it or 'touch
~/.Trash/foo', the trash icon immediately becomes "full".  Hovering over
it with my mouse, however, reports "5 Items in the Wastebasket".

2 files will report 10.
